This song takes place on a tropical-type island, from which we view technology and our changing relationahip to nature, escapism (substance abuse- not necessarily in a bad light), and just the general sense of confusion of life that humans have, I think, always had. It is also about subjectivity vs. objectivity and how humans interpret and how their interpretations affect others and what they have interpreted. |

Story Behind the Song
Part of this song was written in London and the other part was written in Vermont, they fused together well, I think. The drums are not actual drums but sounds from my mouth. This song is entirely acoustic except the bass track.
Lyrics
Disintegrated trolley-men drive deep into nothing's name,
Weary time and it's faces alike they march along in vain,
From some dark eye or curt corner lurking,
Comes forth the stuff of day, enchanted, dwindled and dizzy,
Put on your reading glasses and stare into the sun some more,
You wonder why at the end of the day everybody is so misunderstood...
