Story Behind the Song
Kind of a theme song for my previous incarnation as Mrozinski, this song was recorded at Matrix Studios in New York and performed at Studio 54, CBGB, Max's Kansas City, the Ritz and countless other New York venues. Produced by Abe Jacob, soundman for Jimi Hendrix and A Chorus Line (really). This is a copy of a cassette copy, so please forgive the quality.
Lyrics
I'm the Tower of Pisa, baby,
I can lean for miles.
I'm the Mona Lisa, baby,
that's the way I smile.
All day you've got to take it.
All night you wanna make it.
You'll dance your cares away,
but there's something to hear,
so keep open your ears:
'Cause there's a new song you haven't heard.
Maybe you'll catch it, maybe you can't,
but there's a new song (you haven't heard?)
A new beginning.
Just when you thought it all was over,
here it is starting again.
I'm a Liberace, baby,
I can play the keys.
I can't afford Versace, baby,
I undress to please.
All night you thought about it.
You think, you know, you doubt it.
They sell the same old thing,
so you're gonna get high
('cause that's easy to buy)
But there's a new song you haven't heard.
Maybe you'll catch it, maybe you can't,
bu there's a new song (you haven't heard?)
A new beginning.
Just when you thought it all was over,
here it is starting again.
We're in a moving picture.
The foot of fate has kicked ya
right in the ass-tral plane.
So let the words come in
and let the music begin,
'Cause there's a new song you haven't heard.
Maybe you'll catch it, maybe you can't,
bu there's a new song (you haven't heard?)
A new beginning.
Just when you thought it all was over,
here it is starting again.
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
