Story Behind the Song
The song was written, after I had been told,
I was so ugly that I should look in a mirror.
The words, are about a fellow being lonely, after his girl found someone else. It took
about a week to write. This is an Instumental,but the words are listed below.
Lyrics
Looked in the looking glass;
Saw a sad face, full of loss hopes and disappointment;
I don't know why she had to lee-ave.
(1st verse)
Gone were the dreams of expectation;
Clouds of oppression hung over me;
I keep tellin' my self,
alcohol or drugs won't help.
(2nd Verse)
The cold rain on my face,
made my heart pound;
As I walked on a crowded street,
Then in a mist she stood;
Tempting me with a smile;
Felt a rush of longing come over me;
She made me forget the loneliness.
In time I knew my dreams may be reality
(3rd verse)
We walked & talked that evening;
I was searching for the words,
To express the pleasure she brought;
Then all at once, her soft lips touched mine;
And put me in orbit.
Now I look in the looking glass,
A warm glow surrounds me
There's no thoughts of disappointment--
she gave hope to the hopeless,
Made dreams a reality;
I looked in the looking glass & smiled
(Repeat 2nd verse
