	Story Behind the Song Well Matt wrote this song when he was strung out on heroin...well not really...I think he was pregnant at the time though, and he had to like play basketball 11 times to make it as fun as playing basketball once when he wasn't carrying a child...interesting story! and it's totally true! Lyrics very sorry that i never tried to play along thought you knew but i guess you mighta thought wrong very sad that you didn't get your way it'll pass it was just a phase (chorus) and i've been thinkin 'bout seein' really might have been just what i needed and i've been thinkin 'bout leaving everything i ever thought you told me still don't know what it would mean never saw myself like you see me think i may have almost been what you wanted i can tell that you're gunna feel uneasy at the thought of someone else who would need me i would say that well within the week i'll be back to just another geek (chorus) you always seem to never stay for long if i don't need you i'd still be wrong
