Story Behind the Song
It was written in 1994, for the most part, during a winter storm that lasted several days. Introspective comes to mind. In the end it was used to fulfill an assignment, a concert and a radio program. FYI, I was into Dr. Steven Hawking and the ideas of string theory and grand unification theory at the time. This was the result!
In the work you will hear sections of microtonality where I divide the octive into 40 notes (thank you Harry Parch :) This was done with the help of a Roland D-20 synthesiser. You will also hear a light organ (thank you Radio Shack)along with a touch of Bach.
The work first premiered in June of 1994 on a radio show, Terra Musica, that aired on KMSU throughout southern Minnesota.
