A story about love and tragedy. We ask that you don't cry when listening to it, unless you really feel the need to. Be sure to hold the one you love close to you tonight. |

Story Behind the Song
Some people wonder why we write what we write. Well the answer is simple, yes.
Lyrics
: Sirens are blaring there's been a jail break so I grab my hat and coat and than I head for the door, but my girl Diane she tells me not to go out because she has a bad feeling bu I tell her it'll be alright, because night after night I got out and protect the city from all of the evil dooers and bad guys, and I want you to know that I will be homr tonight to hug you and kiss you and give you all of the things that you want.
Another night she spends alone, waiting for me to return home.
Another night she sleeps alone hoping that I don't come home in a body bag.
So when I get to the hideout of the Murkland gang they were already there waiting for me with their guns. They shot me in the hand and they blew off my arms. Oh no here comes Clarence with a gun and he's shot me in the head. Now I am dead, and I wish I could have told Diane a couple things before I left her all alone in the world, like I want you to know, that I would never leave you, never forsake you, never given you up for anything.
Another night she spends alone, waiting for me to return home.
Another night she sleeps alone hoping that I don't come home in a body bag.
I want her mouth on mine.
I want her hand in mine.
I want her by my side.
I love you Diane.
Another night she spends alone, cursing the day I became a secert agent.
Another night she spends alone, missing the warmth of my touch.
But G-Men never forget.
