Story Behind the Song
Grant wrote this song, and had it 90% completed when he brought it to the rest of the group. He said "The idea for the riff came about when I was D-tuning ("Drop-tuning") my guitar and just started messing around with different progressions and runs." The lyrics are reminiscent of Jon BonJovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive". The story of a killer on the run, as a fugitive from the law.
(*Note* - Our MP3 version is dedicated to the future capture of the May, 1999 "Insurance-Fraud" fugitive from Toledo, OH - The notorious Marty Felkar. Whom actually graduated from the same High School as the songwriter! LOL!)
Lyrics
WANTED - (c) 1994 Bill Bradner
Lyrics and Music by Grant Allen
(Vs. 1)
Well he got himself a loaded gun,
And he's runnin out of places to run,
Keeps on searchin for a place,
Where they won't recognize his face.
KIK IT!!!!
Well he got himself a loaded gun,
And he's runnin out of places to run,
Always searchin for a place,
Where they won't recognize his face,
Left his trail of Blood and murders,
And he's always one step ahead,
Better not get in his way,
Or you'll end up dead.
(Chorus)
Law put a bounty on his head,
and They will stalk to the ends of hell,
Cuz he's a wanted man,
And they'll do anything they can,
Cuz he's nothin but a wanted man,
Nothin but a wanted man,
He's a wanted man.
(Vs. 2)
See his face posted on the wall,
Gain a fortune on his downfall,
Blood money gonna pay for the Bills,
Better watch out 'cuz he kills.
Watching the shadows where evil hids,
A place where only the strong survive,
Evil sinner on top of the world,
Suck it down, see the evil on earth.
(Repeat Chorus)
(Lead Guitar Solo)
(End)
