"Blue Muse" is an acoustic blues in waltz time; it's lyrics take the form of a poem of praise to the cool permanence of the moon, and the sense of wonder that heavenly body has always inspired in the songwriter, even at times of lowest possible tide. | MP3.com CD: Whitman's Sampler - buy it! Lyrics
Ah, blue muse
Ah, my blue muse
sea-shine so nothing can shake me
no memory unmake me
nor anyone new
in your glow
what's gone is forgiven
and what's left is the living
I'll always be true
rise solo
over the ocean
turning tides to your motion
in a halo of dew
