Lyrics In any language, any tongue The message is the same The gift of God is free to all And on it is your name The gift of God the gift of life Came as a baby boy God reached to man, the gap he spanned And brought us hope and joy The grace that's ours at Christmas And all the year through Came through a birth Showed us our worth And reaches me and you Out on the street in people's eyes You see an emptiness The lack of meaning, the lack of joy The sighs of heaviness If we could know, if we could see The love that's waiting there And just reach out for His hand He'd take all of our cares God's grace and love can reach into The darkest heart And change a life and give a man A brand new start He sticks with you even when you've given up And comes and fills what was once an empty cup
