Story Behind the Song
Feeling neither confident about using English words for an art song nor having any decent inspiration, I hesitated for a long time before writing a piece for voice with a text. Eventually I came up with an idea for a piece: a shattered love that only resulted in tears and pain. I decided to find short, simple, easily understandable, nevertheless, beautiful poems that would be expressive of a broken heart, sorrow, and eternal hope for true love. And depicting a frustrated time when I had to accept my own emotional struggles. Sarah Bacon, whom I have never known or seen, wrote perfectly matched poems which I found on the Internet - just what I was looking for. I took three poems of hers, and wrote somewhat sadly expressive, romantic songs. (Composed in August, 1999)
Lyrics
My face will never again be dry
Tears keep falling I always cry
They flow down my face exactly like rain
This constant wetness is making me immune to the pain, to the pain, pain
Everyday I manage a weak smile
Thinking of you all the while
Since in everyday I am thingking of you
It is pure proof that I will always be, always be true
I keep remembering your promise of love forever, forever
And that we would always be together
Always be together
