Story Behind the Song
Officialy my third composition, this is the first song where I really started experimenting with MIDI. I have yet to buy a MIDI keyboard, so I had to find a program in which I could just insert each note solely with the use of my mouse (I use NoteWorthy Composer). The idea for the song itself came from me just tinkering on the piano until I played a musical line that eventually became this piece. When I completed the song, I decided that there was something missing - something I heard in my head, but needed to physically add to the piece - a backround of strings, adding more depth to the song. This song remains one of my favorites of all of my pieces. The title was the last thing needed after the song was completed. To me, it sounded like an expression for the love I had for the person I was in a relationship with at the time, hence its name, "My Love For You".
I recently found the GP One SoundFont through Kevin B. Selby (also on mp3.com) which has done wonders for creating a much more realistically-sounding piano piece.
