    Story Behind the Song
This piece took about 6 months to create. I began by creating various sound patches I liked, and improvising on the keyboard. As the piece took shape, I recorded my live synthesizer performance into a MIDI program, and then manipulated the raw data to add effects.

The name is arabic and refers to the supposed "Satanic Verses" of the Quran. Whether these "verses" ever existed is up to debate, but they do bring up questions of validity that I explore in this work. The piece is about intrinsic elements which slowly rise to prominence until taking over the work.
