	Story Behind the Song Another project with Matt and Simon. Matt sent me a tape and asked me to come up with some lyrics. As usual I was inspired. The lyrics are basicy about how the greenhouse effect is slowly cooking the planet. If you put a frog in cold water and put it on the stove, by the time it relised the water was getting too hot it gets too tired to climb out. In many ways this parrallels our own situation except it could result in excessively dire concequences. Not only would we suffer but the plants and animals would also succumb. Mass extinction would be inevitable if we wait untillit is too late. That is the story of Mercury Rising. Can we survive?
