	Story Behind the Song As with many of my pieces, this is a richly layered piece. There are 6 combination sounds gently layered into this work. I took time getting just the right mix here. This piece really needs to be heard on a good sound system in order to appreciate the full spectrum of sound produced by the Korg Triton Workstation. I recently added the MOSS board to my setup and this really adds to the depth of sound. I started with a basic sketch of what I wanted, and then begin layering combination sounds. As I slowly build layer upon layer, I tweak the "parameters" as I go. This creates a sort of improvised "chance" piece that could never be exactly recreated. In this case creating a mood to match a particular print by Blue Moebius also titled "Solar Orphans."
