Story Behind the Song
This was our first attempt at a song, and it worked out very well. It took about 5 takes for me to get the vocals layered over the guitar (whereas Devon belted it out in one take, awesome guy), and I'm still not completely satisfied with the vocals. I'm not exactly a perfectionist yet, though, so I'm not worried.
I originally wrote this next to the pool at my house, under the stars, seeming that they could go on forever.
Lyrics
as the stars will die, my love
and the moon and sun grow dim
so shall my love for you go on
and stay lit to fill eternium
and as the day grows tired, my love
and the sun joins the sea (in twilight bedding)
as the naked infinity lays above us
and we beg to reflect paradoxes we cannot see
as we unlock my chest, unclasp my ribs
and let my heart glide to relight starry staircases
as constellations ignite, raining sparks, sparking the rain
no stormclouds will be seen, from here to nevermore
and as all that goes on, I shall not notice
for a flower is blooming in your eyes
and I am your audience, enraptured
