	Story Behind the Song Written on the way to the Memorial service for Patrick Lippert in 1993 held at Will Rogers Park in Pacific Palisades. Originally recorded into a microcassette unit, inspired by Patrick's spirit, while driving on Sunset Boulevard. I recorded it in 1996 at Full Moon Studios, a capella for the Home CD. Chris Millner was inspired to add guitar. This song is dedicated to Patrick Lippert who reached out to so many people with Rock the Vote. I knew Patrick through our mutual involvement in Young Artists United. The Rock the Vote Patrick Lippert Award is held in memory of Rock the Vote's founding Executive Director, Patrick Lippert, who died of AIDS-related pneumonia in 1993. The award honors those making a significant contribution to our common future through extraordinary achievements in empowering young people.
