Story Behind the Song
I came up with good groove while playing about with my strat. And it felt kind of good. So I wrote some lyrics, and wrote the backing track in about 5 minutes flat, and recorded the whole in one take.
Cool.
Lyrics
I'll Be There
(c) Mark-Robert Wills 1999 Stratoblaster Music
I'm tired of listenin' to your answer phone baby,
Baby won't you call me back and make my day?
I hate talkin' to a tape machine sugar,
I just tend to freeze up and don't know what to say.
So I'll be waitin' by the phone now baby - I ain't goin' no-where,
So call my number - and baby I'll be there.
It always seems to go the same way baby,
Everything goes fine and everything's cool.
Then we always have a stupid fight sweet thing,
And it's me that always ends up feelin' a fool.
So I'm just callin' to let you know I love you - baby I still care,
So call my number, and baby I'll be there.
Guitar Solo
So when we gonna get back together baby?
When we gonna meet up - have a rendezvous?
I just wanna get my hands on you sugar,
Wanna say sweet thangs - make it up to you.
I'll take you to your favourite restaurant baby - I'll buy you something to wear,
So call my number - and baby I'll be there.
So call my number, and baby I'll be there.
So call my number, and baby I'll be there.
So call my number, and baby I'll be there.
