Story Behind the Song
A Cell phone call from loved one... -I'm okay, -I love you, -Tell the kids I love them... Then rushing home to find an empty house or apartment. Sitting alone in the dark waiting for someone who may never arrive... Then finally understanding the world has changed forever and nothing will ever be the same again... Eventually the night of a unfathomable day turns to a new day. Everything is different, but the world continues nonetheless. Perhaps now it wobbles a bit as it spins in its orbit. If you haven't already, it has never been more important to reach out right now to your friends and family and tell them how important they are to you, and how much you love them.
peace-
Terry O'Gara and all of us from Gotham Artists
Lyrics
911
I just wanted to say I love you
In case tomorrow never comes.
If I sit staring over the rooftops
I'm just searching for the sun.
911, the world ended.
And started all over again.
We saw the towers fall; I felt small.
Thank God, you've got an angel f or a friend.
Last night I worried that when I got home
You wouldn't be waiting for me
I closed my eyes and tried to reached out
But I couldn't wake from the dream.
911, the world ended.
And started all over again.
We saw the towers fall; I felt small.
T hank God, you've got an angel for a friend.
So, if and when I finally wake up
I'm don't know how I will feel.
Everything is different now.
I don't know what is real.
Still, I'm trying to be hopeful.
Say a prayer for all of us.
Ask how can anyone be so hateful.
When what the world needs is so much love
911, the world ended.
And started all over again.
We saw the towers fall; I felt small.
Thank God, you've got an angel for a friend.
911 the world ended.
And started all over again...
