	Story Behind the Song This song was written after a N.Y. school decided not to celebrate fathers' day and mothers' day. I then read a letter by a woman wishing to ban any holiday from schools that offends just one person. I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever heard. Lyrics the world's a bright and shiny place for every tiny soul it's easy to be optimistic in my own fish bowl I like just livin' in this fable I try to shun some realistic label but I know I won't be able I strive to keep life sterile unmagical and dull 'cause bein' offended is just a job so principle an open mind makes all you manic the school's all lacking God must be satanic this is a time for panic so I'll sit down and then I think I'll make a list of all the things so horrible they can't exist the children don't have sex and I've got sacred texts that prove every point I've made we cannot celebrate the things that make us all unique some of us may not have dads and some are born as freaks we must protect the weak and huddled masses 'cause feelings heal as slowly as molasses your celebration's classless
