Lyrics
michigan:
fall:
driving down highway 41. the leaves are falling colors in the sun. i finally have reached the covered road. looks like i'm gonna put heaven on hold, for sweet michigan.
winter:
icy cold winters on lake michigan. jack frost is biting i won't let him in. it snowed so hard that year that the roof caved in. looks like we're gonna see winter once again, in sweet michigan.
oh michigan, how i love your sweet land.
oh michigan, you know i'm coming back again.
my body cries for the great lakes.
i know that it won't be long, till i see sweet michigan.
spring:
the snow begins to melt down the hillside.
and where it goes i don't know, it just likes to hide.
new life shines forth in the evergreen.
it looks like we're gonna see the promises of spring.
summer:
the sun is shining everywhere around me.
superior's talking like she invites me;
to know her shores and seek her deepest waters.
but the mountains, they are jealous and they beckon me,
from the seas, of sweet michigan.
