	Story Behind the Song This is about the noise that comes off Duval Street in Key West, FL during spring break. I was living very close to the epicenter of "Party Central" (the 200 block of Duval). There's a lot of bars with bands, DJs, and very noisy "wet tee-shirt contests going on. Spring break also coincided with "Bike Week" so, we had several hundred motorcycles here as well. I was awakened by the noise coming from one particular bar at about 2:00am one night. I thought there was a street riot going on. It was tremendously loud and raucous. I got up to go see what was going on. I traced the noise to one particular bar having a wet tee-shirt contest but, they were playing amplified crowd noise out to the streets through a large P.A. system. I went back to my apartment and wrote this song immediately. "Hear the noise coming off Duval Street........" Lyrics Hear the noise coming off Duval Street, Two a.m. west past Caroline. Bikes and bars all trying to compete. Girls and boys getting out of line. It’s a drunken mess, Spring break down in Key West It’s a carnival on the street they call Duval. It’s depravity everyone so free from gravity. Lazy days lead to crazy nights Then there’s dazy mornings and their hazy sights. Key West bights hold no interest for you. Key West nights have no sympathy for you
