	Story Behind the Song I wrote this song played on bouzouki a few days after the death and destruction in America in September 2001. I am mainly a fiddle player and the song is recorded very simply but I hope it helps some folk. Lyrics Verse 1: Sons of America Daughters and wives We read of your bravery Remember your lives. Brothers and sisters We ask you to pray That our world becomes A safer place to play. / Chorus: Don't cry my child 'Cause we cann't see the sun You know we'll meet our maker When our day is done. / Verse 2: They gave us no reason They gave us no name But death and destruction And didn't take the blame.
