Story Behind the Song
This song was written and recorded the same day. The guitar part took about twenty takes because it wasn't the typical four chords I have been playing since '89. The vocal part was done in two takes because there was no use trying any harder. I had to take my guitar deep down inside the Earth until the fires of hell itself had heated my insrument to a red hot gelatin consistency. Note that the tuning is well below the classical A 440.
Lyrics
It seemed to eminate from a plain and forward tongue, you can be so open minded your brains may just fall out.
You chase your pot of gold, rappin' on your asses hide up the slope, and once your sitting on your pile of riches, you can drown yourself in fine scotch.
Happiness
I haven't seen it on anyones face today.
The culture is so enlightening down at the metropolitan square, redeemeded my coffee house wisdom, and art museum spirits.
Downtown we got a police truck, strip clubs, and hotel suites, you can knock off your lover, eat Thai, and save your soul all from the easy chair.
Im over the flu and under the loincloth
In the bosom of reality.
