	Story Behind the Song I dream about girls. Just one girl actually. I see her face all night, and wake in sweat 3 hours into my restless night. Like a self inflicted burn, you have to remember every time it hurts, that it's you who is doing the hurting. I followed her for years, some time ago. She did not understand my feelings for her. They are far from "love," it's more like silent observation of an uncaring god, than it is like mushy, gushy, movie star, softcore pornography "love." And sometimes I try to think what it would have been like if I took her face into my hands and stared into her eyes. I see it in my dreams most nights. And as I struggle to say something, and she struggles to tell me what I want to hear, my prized rejection, I suddenly am attacked by my own dreams. Her big brown eyes, and hair that I'd love to smell change. I am staring into bloodied holes in a shallow pale skull, still choking on my words. Then I wake up. But I will never see this woman anywhere else in my life. And the one place where I am supposed to have control over her answers, I am slammed straight into the concrete at the base of the interminably tall building.
