	Story Behind the Song David Haas wrote a great We Are Called many years ago. While his song will always remain one of my all-time favorites, I just had to write a song about our calling from God. It's such an important message to me - something that all humans should recognize. God wants us to be His - He loves us so much. And so we are "called to be light for the kingdom of God..." Lyrics Called to be like the saints. Called to speak out to the world what we know. We are called to spread God’s word. Called to be like a friend. Called to provide for the hungry and weak. We are called to be strength for the poor. Called to be light for the Kingdom of God. We are called as children from Heaven above. We are called as one to serve the Lord.
