Story Behind the Song
I spent some years out in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington trying to feed a family of 4 by working in the woods. At 7,000 dollars a year and my family living in an apartment in Portland Oregon, I was left living in the back of a 1960 chevy pickup truck with a wooden camper, hungry, tired and broke, I found what it was like to go without, to be without a home, it sucks! So from this experience I wrote "homeless."
Lyrics
Homeless
(Culton)
Tonight I sleep inside of cardboard.
Will you see me lying there.
I have no job and no address.
I'm just a child of the streets.
I was lucky, I found a buck today.
Tomorrow I will eat.
I watch the cars and suits go by.
They don't see me.
Tomorrow I will find a paper.
My blanket of despair.
Opportunities go by in a blur.
No one really cares.
I wish I had me a family.
Someone to say, "I love you."
I'd like to leave and to learn.
I'm left not knowing what to do.
I was lucky, I found a buck today.
Tomorrow I will eat.
I watch the cars and suits go by.
They don't see me.
