Story Behind the Song
Examines the things we place value on and how the many aspects of our lives we completely ignore leave us unprepared for matters which we have no control over.
Lyrics
Your life is not, what you think it is.
It's not the things you own, it's not for whom you vote...
Your life involves, more than you think it does.
You're not the byproduct of things corporate.
Your mind is not grapefruit left to rot. Flesh & bone in sync, you evolved to think.
Your mind can not survive a life in sloth. Your body although can, don't have to think to be a real man.
Starving your soul, can't survive the crossfire.
What shapes the truth? Perception perhaps... One mans god is gone, one mans god is in Saigon.
Trouble is the cost afforded for the unique. Realms of discontent waive the continent.
Mayhaps, the prize is lost, struggles not worth the loss. I can just lie in bed, I can still live & still be dead.
Starving your soul, can't survive the crossfire.
