Story Behind the Song
Definition:
"millennium": noun. 1.period of one thousand years; 2.(esp. future) period of happiness and prosperity. (Latin "mille" thousand)
Inspiration:
One quiet afternoon, big hw sat down at his piano in his house by the ocean and discovered "millennium". Once things were rolling, thoughts of his father were appearing in the background of his mind, big hw drew upon this for further inspiration and the piece began to evolve and flow. "millennium" was born. Upon working on it immediately in his studio, big hw suddenly found that there was a hit dance-track somewhere amidst it. He then composed and recorded all the takes, and then concentrated solidly on creating mixes that would fully utilize the potential that this new piece had. And as a result, we pr esent to you this brilliant array of edits, mixes, and versions to give you the full impact that was originally experienced by big hw.
This mix:
The Original Piano Version is exactly that. It was this piece that started it all for big hw and his 'millennium', as described above. We've included this track so you can experience how it was that this all came about. Recorded live on an old German walnut upright piano, using 2 overhead microphones in a medium-sized room with oak flooring.
