Tell Me Why is my testiment of the simplicities of life and how fragile it can be. Not about mourning the loss of love or life, but an anthem to all that life and love is "simple". Produced with an upbeat folk rock feel Sman add's a dash of a techno twist blending the old with the new. "Tell Me Why" was inspired by my years on the road, being on my own and giging in rock bands. I hope it inspires you too.... bon
CD: Tell Me Why   Label: Vette Records
Credits: Written by B. Carrafa, Arranged by S. Fodor, Produced by Sman

    Story Behind the Song
I met Sman in the spring of 2001, I was looking for a producer and a friend of mine told me about this guy her and another friend of mine met one night while at the Mexicali in Studio City.

She said he was there with a friend and during the conversation Sman invited them both back to his studio to make a CD. They both laughed and said we dont sing....He said it is not important, it will be like kareoke except that they would leave with thier own song......

Needless to say the song I heard (the one Sman did for them) was pretty cool and decided if he could do that with someone who never sang what could he do with my voice having been proffessionaly giging for 15yrs

We met and he had some radical ideas and I thought sure lets see what happens. Sman came over to my house and set me up with some computer software and we sat down and pounded out "Tell Me Why"

He then took the files back to his studio played the guitar and produced the rest of the song, I came in sang it and here it is...

I am pretty proud of it I think it is a fresh sound....

    Thanx
    Sman

    Lyrics
    Tell Me Why
    (b.carrafa/s. fodor)

Started in New Orleans, a long time from yesterday.
A kind man made an offer, he said "you know I would never lead you the wrong way"
Hit the steets of New York City, never walked alone.
You know I felt like that old man beside me looking for a home.
He said "a kind and gentle soul is so hard to find and..."

    (chorus)
    Life's so simple
    Life's so kind
Roll down the window and look up at the sky
Just sing a song you'll get by....

Then I'd see the sunrise and fall in just a blink
Realize time will pass quicker than you think...
You have a choice (you can fix it)
Hear your voice (its in the mix)
Make a desicion you can make a difference yeah!

    (chorus)
    Life's so simple
    Life's so kind
    Tell Me Why.......
    Just sing a song
    You'll get by

    Oh, You'll get by.........
    (guitar solo)

    (chorus)
Life's so simple (DONT CHA KNOW THAT!)
    Life's so kind
Roll down the window and look up at the sky
    Life's so simple
    Life's so kind
Tell Me Why (adlib till end)
