    Story Behind the Song
This song is for the millions of computer
professionals who work 24/7 for management/executives/companies
who haven't got a clue "what they do"..they call them
"techies". It envisions a moment in time when the majority
of the computer professionals/information workers --- "techies"
Erupt and Strike....and the kaos that follows.

And..possibly...at that time...they realize what the "techies"
"do"..and what kind of sacrifices they have had to make in keeping
    the country running...

    Lyrics by Dave Wheeler

Today we walk right out that door,
machines you know will work no more.
Way down that highway our minds grow dim,
there's a hole in our hearts where the job goes in...
We are not machines, you have no idea,
you have no idea who the hell we are.
We write the code and tote a pail.
Line by line the country runs.

We're tired of playin' the company whores.
You burn us out till we work no more.
In the corner of our hearts wild winds blow.
They call us now and we won't resist.
We'll walk one day then you'll understand.
Machines we worked will ruin the land.
Then all the tanks and all the men won't bring it back.
We are not machines, you have no idea,
you have no idea who the hell we are.
We write the code and tote a pail.
Line by line the country runs.
In the corner of our hearts wild winds blow.
They call us now and we won't resist.
