Story Behind the Song
This (for me) was the song where I knew Gary and I had something special on our hands, especially when we re-did the drums. The chorus riff was written way back in the Sinister Sam days, but no one really wanted to use it for anything, so I kept it in my brain 'til I met Gary.
The verse riff was written with Meshuggah in mind, I just wanted to see if I could pull some of that weird shit off, it's alright. It's more of a chromatic excercise than a riff, but I guess it does the job. I keep bugging Gary about redoing the song using 7 strings. He's being very difficult, but I'll break that fucker. If not, no biggie, I just want
to finish this and make it a full length so that all y'all can fuckin' buy it and show it to friends and family, especially young kids who like to hear bad words.
Lyrics
TWILIGHT DEMENTIA
It was the perfect night (to fuck you on the beach)
Ecstacy... And! We laughed until we cried (You're fucking good to me)
Can't you see?
Dreamin', You're dead
I went into the light (to see what I could see)
Ecstacy.. And! That made me realize (that I have more to do)
So do you
SOLOS: F Lydian .. Me 1st, then Gary
