	Alkaline could only be described as eclectic, taking inspiration from many different genres of music; the Balearic style synth sweeps, the intense electric 'acid' riff, the garage-style chord stabs, and the very prominent breakbeat come together in this very relaxed piece.

	Story Behind the Song At present I am trying to clear samples from the original mix and so the rest of the project is still in an unfinished state. This should provide you guys with some taste of what's to come. The tune took about a month to complete, during which I sodded off to Ibiza for two weeks for 'inspiration' (yeah right!). Alkaline was more an experiment than anything else, providing me with a way of learning how to use my studio. This is basically the whole concept beind Thermeonic; a channel for experimentation in my new studio setup. As a consequence of this, I didn't expect this track to get such a warm welcome from you guys which, since being uploaded, has seen it storm up the Trip Hop charts from number 440 to number 75 (as of 10th Aug) in the space of 3 days!
