"Object of Desire" | genre: Pop | |

A love song with slowly swirling ambient textures. The finale features two opposing views of "desire," one from a lover, the other from a perverted preacher. You can probably guess which side I'm on. Story Behind the Song
Love, desire, caring and sharing are so important in life -- yet there are still so many conservative clowns who pontificate against these wonderful things. So I put some of the arguments into the end of what I feel is a beautiful song of hope, trust and love.
Lyrics
You say this is the time
You say now you are mine
Earth, moon, stars -- realign.
There's a white-hot sunrise
In the center of your eyes
Lungs, head, heart full of sighs.
(Chorus)
You are an object of intense desire.
You are the match, the spark, the fir e.
You lift my soul
Higher and higher.
Put the past to one side
Find a love that will abide
Hope, trust, care -- swirl inside.
After all is said and done
We are two who are now one
Love, love, love has begun.
(Chorus)
The mists have lifted; the curtains parted;
the sands have shifted; and life
has truly started.
(Chorus)
