	Story Behind the Song The lyrics describe real events, which took place in a remote and mystical region of northern Scotland in 1998. The writer was on holiday and unwittingly discovered an ancient cave, which contained a home-made altar on which various items such as home-made crosses, apples and money had been left. In a state of flippancy a furry British Gas 'bug' was affixed to the cross. Ever since then many strange and bad things happened to the writer and his family. He later realised that the cave was a shrine to St. Columba, who reputedly lived there whilst bringing Christianity to Scotland. The writer's mother was shocked and dismayed at this unwitting sacrilege but life goes on folks!
