This is the controversial song that spawned from Tim Mcveighs last words before his execution. Taken from the poem "Invictus," this hard rocking song holds all the angst and fury over the Oklahoma Bombing. |

Story Behind the Song
The first song on the CD is entitled “Soul Captain” and was written by Shades of Grey's Bass player (Brian Konicki) two years prior to Timothy McVeighs Execution. It was inspired by a poem written in the mid 1800's by William Ernest Henley ntitled "INVICTUS." It was an unusual coincidence that on the day the band finished recording it, Timothy McVeigh was put do death by lethal injection at a prison in Terre Haute, Indiana. His last issued statement was the first four paragraphs of the poem “Invictus.”
