WHAT MOTIVATED THIS SONG WAS THE ONGOING STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM, JUSTICE AND EQUALITY. WACK LYRICISTS WERE ALSO A MOTIVATION. TO A DEGREE THE LYRICS ARE ABSTRACT, BUT THE MESSAGE IS "ALTHOUGH I HAVE SANCTIONS IMPOSED AGAINST ME ECONOMICALLY, THERE CAN BE NO SANCTIONS IMPOSED AGAINST MY MIND." THE SONG WAS WRITTEN IN HAMPTON VA IN MY STUDIO. IT TOOK ME 15 MINUTES TO WRITE THE LYRICS, 15 TO LAY THE TRACK;3 TAKES.
