The physical laws which rule our world mean that everything, eventually, comes back to cross the x axis every once in a while ... |

Story Behind the Song
I wrote this one on a bike. Every uphill has a downhill, and vice versa. The same applies to everything, really. What goes around comes around.
Lyrics
Fortunes change in the here and now:
What goes around’s gonna come around,
And what goes up is sure to come down:
It all returns to zero
It’s an easy formula, a simple rule:
Things like love and altitude,
Velocity and amplitude
They all return to zero
Zero’s the place where every journey begins
Zero’s the place where every journey ends
It all returns to zero
You can run but you can’t hide
From the truth that matter is the same as void:
It can’t be created or destroyed:
It just (all) returns to zero
It’s a cycle of life that’s well, well worn:
The sweetest rose has the sharpest thorn
But all that dies will be re-born:
It all returns to zero
The trials and joys of a distant day
Clear like a jam on the motorway
The tide will wash them all away
They all return to zero
No matter how much your fortunes grow,
Little or a lot, fast or slow
You can’t take it with you when you go:
It all returns to zero
