	Story Behind the Song It was the autumn of 98' and Kevin had been seeing a girl who went by th name of Veronica. She was the kind of girl you would see on a runway in Paris. She had it all. Kevin never could understand why Veronica was attracted to him, at the time he was working in a thrift store in LA living off a $200 paycheck and pocket change. Kevin was crazy about Veronica and would do anything to keep her by his side. Veronica would make him do ridiculous things, for her entertainment. She had him whiped; but one day it went to far, Veronica convinced Kevin to burglarize a family neighborhood. Well, he did, and was caught. Spent 3 weeks in prison, and was released only to find out that Veronica had left the city with another guy. Well, needless to say, Kevin lost it, he quit his job, lost the lease to his apartment, and lost all touch with his friends and family. 8 months later, while working on a sesson project in LA, i met Kevin for the first time. He was outside of the recording studio where i had been working trying to convince the security to let him in, said he was incredible lyrics. Well you have to understand Kevin was dressed in rags, and probably hadn't bathed in months, so it was understandable why he would not be let inside the studio. But i had a feeling, so walked up to where he was standing, and gave him the number where i was staying, i told him to give me a call, and we could talk about his lyrics. He told me his story, and shared with me a lyric he had written called "Girl with a funny name." I was moved by his passion, and his lyrics were incredible. 3 recording sessions and 1 year gone by, the song had been completed. A soon to be classic.
