	Story Behind the Song Theres a lot of pressure sometimes to be blindly patriotic. Dont mistake this song for being anti-American, its just anti-stupid-person. Lyrics Theres too little time to pretend to be free, to accept the responsibility imposed upon the youth of today--to hold up their dying flag and be about their merry ways. How can I justify going along with something that I hate? So now I see everything the way it ought to be and not the way they say. I question the flag when they tell me to sing--can I put faith into this thing? Why should I pledge my allegiance to a system that makes me want to puke? Their bickering is pissing me off, I think that I have had enough. The governments destined to fall someday. Maybe we’re better off that way.
