Story Behind the Song
Sommunications is another of my typo words that makes a great song title. It’s sort of the combination of sleep walking and communications.
This is the instrumental version. The lyric version has still yet to be recorded.
Lyrics
I was born a princess, Daddy’s little girl…
Daddy sold some chemicals,
To those who made them into polyester clothes,
He didn’t really care what happened then,
With a pay cheque in his pocket he was happy to pretend…
Chemicals flow down the road,
Into the frog and into the toad,
Into the pipes of our humble abode,
"It doesn’t violate the building code"
But it seems to violate our human ethical code…
Daddy took a new life; Daddy took a new wife…
He forgot about his princess, daddy’s little girl…
Renewable resources, what does it mean…
To use up something so it’s never seen,
By anyone else in years to come
It needs to be available to everyone…
Where we are
Needs to be
A place that we
Can pass along
Ever so thoughtfully
Look at us
Where we are
If it wasn’t meant
To be permanent
Have we let down the ones we love?
The future of this planet, the ones we love…
Living space,
Breathing air,
Living space,
Breathing air,
Drinking fresh water is all I want to do…
Drinking clean water is all I want to do…
Renewable resources, what does it mean…
To use up something so it’s never seen,
By anyone else in years to come
It needs to be available to everyone…
Where we are
Needs to be
A place that we
Can pass along
Ever so thoughtfully
Look at us
Where we are
If it wasn’t meant
To be permanent
Have we let down the ones we love?
The future of this planet, the ones we love…
Living space,
Breathing air,
Living space,
Breathing air,
Drinking fresh water is all I want to do…
A breath of fresh air is always overdue…
Daddy, what did you do?
It seems to violate our human ethical code…
