    Story Behind the Song
I wanted to write a song about Jean de Brebeuf, a Jesuit missionary to Canada and it ended up as my tribute to all of those who serve God sacrificially, where ever they may be.

    D F#m G
Through the fire, of evil did he pass, being
    D F#m G A
Stripped of life, but not of Jesus Christ,
    Em Bm A2
He bore it all, that the nation may be saved,

Still loving them even as he died.
