    Story Behind the Song
All too often we forget how our children learn from our example, good and bad. To them we are an open book and they read us every day. They hear us all day long whenever we are in listening distance. It's amazing how good their hearing can be! They absorb all they hear and see.

This song was written to inspire us to always set the right example so our children will grow physically and spiritually close to Jesus.

    Lyrics
    Walkin' Talkin Volume
Words & Music by Patti Kaylor Copyright 2000

Children are like an open book
And you’re writing on every page
You hold their hand along the way and guide them through each stage

Children learn by example so watch out what you say
Cuzz you’re a walkin' talkin' volume
    And they're reading you everyday.

    Chorus
Cuzz you’re a walkin’ talkin' volume
And they can read you like a book
If you don't like what you’re seeing
Your better take a second look

That child is just a reflection of you
Like a mirror on the wall
If your life is reflecting Jesus than I know you'll be walking tall.

You might not like what I'M saying
But I'm giving it to your straight
Your life is looking like a playground
And you think your doing really great

But you’re up and down like a sea-saw
Back and forth like a swing
Then down the slide of depression you go
And then your of to do a bran new thing.

Cuzz you’re a walkin’ talkin' volume
And I can read you like a book
If you don't like what you’re seeing
Your better take a second look

That child is just a reflection of y9ou
Like a mirror on the wall
    If you’re not reflecting Jesus
Than you gonna' need an overhaul

    Verse 3
    Child you better wake up
And take a good look around
You’re trying to live in the middle
    Instead of the solid ground

You think you can do it your way
But misery is all you've found
You better give your life to Jesus
Cuzz, he can turn it all around

    Chorus Sing verse !
