	Story Behind the Song The music for this song is older than the band itself. Steve and Dave used to mess around with it in their previous band, constantly changing the feel and form of the song. Shortly before that band's break up it actually became a song, although not a very solid one. Afterwards, the lyrics were changed and this was when "Dreams" was created. The song was recorded in a series of overdubs due to a lack of equipment. (We did the recording ourselves.) The drums took about three takes to get right. Everything else took forever.
