My Personal Favourite to play. This one kind of wrote itself. It's a song about watching someone change.
CD: Battle of the bands Demo
Credits: Recorded by James Nelan, Engineered by Chris Pulsifer, Additional vocals By Carole and Em

    Story Behind the Song
I was in a weird mood after seeing an old "friend" gradually change into somoeone I didn't even want to know. This one is my current favourite to play (but i wish i could re-record it with more time). It only took about an hour to write, and I think it was done in 1 take in my friend James' Living room. The backing female vocals were done by James' sister and friend who walked in the room and were like "Hey, can we try and sing some backup to this?"... I think it was really cool of them, and sounds deadly. My backing vocals are crap

    Lyrics
Today I woke up in my bed
I rubed my eyes and scratched my head
and realized you were never really there

I thought of all the things you never did
    and how you didn't ever
tell me that you loved me
until it could bring me down

    *Chorus*
    Wasn't I enough
    I guess I didn't know you

So here I am with someone new
She's good for me and not like you
I'm happier than I ever thought I'd be

And looking back I only laugh
At all mistakes my other half
    Had made enduring you
and all the f***ed up things you did

    *Chorus (2)*
    I guess you weren't enough
    Not enough for me

The halls are empty, Lights are dim
On my way home I thought of something
that produced a smile on my face

It's more than over, Been so long
In just a while, You'll be gone
And I'll be better than I am
    Forgetting all this ever happened

    /\solo/\

Today I woke up in my bed
I thought of all the things you said
And not a single thing you sputtered
    matters to me now.
