The beat for this song is based on a Middle Eastern rhythm called Wahdah Tawila. I remembered it from my time as a percussionist in the UCSB Middle East Ensemble and thought it might be fun to loop it and jam over it. This is what I came up with. |

Story Behind the Song
I wanted to do a Middle Eastern melody over the Middle Eastern rhythm pattern, but it didn't really fit my mood, so I chose a more basic chord structure that's been used a billion times before. I'm not very good at writing lyrics yet, but I'm learning.
