    Story Behind the Song
I have no idea where this came from!!! I woke up one morning and heard the BASS of the tune....all of a sudden, the chorus was there.

Within a week, it came together from beginning to the final recorded version you're hearing.

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! It's kind of "Renegade" and "Wanted Dead Or Alive" mixed into one! Enjoy!

    Lyrics
    The Lawman’s Coming
    -------------------

    (1st Verse)
    When I woke this mornin’
    I stumbled out of bed,
    And a million questions.
    Were runnin’ through my head.
    What’d I do last night,
How the hell did I get home.
    Why do I keep smellin,
    This woman’s strange cologne.

    Well, I looked around,
Then I looked back to the bed,
    And I found my clothes,
In a pool of bloody red.
    “Oh my God”, I thought,
No, this simply can’t be true.
    So I called my friend,
And when I asked him what to do,
    He said….

    (1st Chorus)
    Well the lawman’s comin’
And the judge has had your trial,
    The jury’s found you guilty,
And there won’t be no denial,
    Better keep on runnin’
If you wanna keep your head,
    ‘Cause if they find you,
    All they’ll wanna do,
    Is see you dead.

    (2nd Verse)
    Well, I didn’t panic,
No, I had to set this right,
    And try to piece together,
What had happened late last night.

    Why can’t I recall,
What was heard or what was said,
And how did I end up,
With this bump on my head.

Then all at once I remembered,
A strange woman with my friend,
    How I saw her struggling,
    And her effort to defend.

    A single gunshot heard,
And the woman, she was dead,
    So I called him back,
And this is what I said.
    I said…..

    (2nd Chorus)
    Yeah, the lawman’s comin’
But it’s you who’d better run,
    ‘Cause I know your guilty,
And your prints are on the gun,
    It doesn’t really matter,
What was heard or what’s been said,
‘Cause when they know the truth,
All they’ll wanna do, my friend,
    Is see you dead.
    (They’ll see you dead)
    (Stone cold dead)
