	i think it's one of my better ska punk songs. the music in the verses is a little more interesting than usual. i like the vocals on here a lot too, probably one of my better vocal lines.

	Story Behind the Song it's pretty easy to sum up, it's about wanting to do things for yourself, rather than getting helped out. it's also about that feeling of fate, or destiny and how you kind of deal with that. because although it's a good thing to know that the world evens itself out, you also feel like you have no control over your own life. everything's mapped out. so this is me dealing with those feelings. by the way, i also get goosebumps when i sing the part that goes 'i'll be the one to mold my life, to help to voice... ' etc etc. i don't know, it's just a powerful lyric that reminds me of how i felt when i wrote it. the line, 'it only hurts when you stop' is something that comes from a conversation my sister and i had once, about rollerblading actually. because it's like... you never know when you've been on your feet for too long until you stop for a second and then it hurts really badly. well, for me anyways. i always had a problem with my feet hurting... oh well. i'm a wuss, what can i say! but that's part of that lyric. also, because this is interesting, the chorus came from a little prayer i wrote. the original first line was 'Goddess help me find my strength' but i changed it for the song. Lyrics only so much a girl can feel in a day but tomorrow will come though it doesn't seem that way there's something working beyond the logic but i'm not sure i want it there's something deep i can't deny an urge, a need to be so i have to fight to keep my footing to keep from losing i won't let them drive me into the ground so help me find my strength i know that there's a better way i don't need gifts laid in my lap i want to work for what i have many times i've wanted to run away many times i've wanted to end the pain an unseen force i've let rule my life but it's mine to be lived i've realized i don't have to suffer, be passive and hurt there's so much to do there's so much more work only you can decide what's your day's gonna be cause you can't just rely on destiny i'll be the one to mold my life to help to voice to need to find to be hurt to be tough to fall down and get up cause it only hurts when you stop so help me find my strength i know that there's a better way i don't need gifts laid in my lap i want to work for what i have it's the only way to live to be it's the only way that's right for me i won't be passive, just sit back cause i can't let myself do that
