Story Behind the Song
This was original an anti-vivisection song, but since it was written, the animal rights movement has gone completely fringe and I no longer associate myself with it.
Lyrics
Some may think I’m mad, but Uncle Sam says no
He is my employer, vivisection, ho!
I take the little animals that you may think are cute
Then cut into their vocal chords and make the bastards mute
Hee-ha, hi-yah, hi-ho
I just got another grant, vivisection, ho!
I’ve got a job at Berkeley, working with the mice
I stick them in the microwave and serve them up with rice
I shoot them up with saccharin to please the status quo
Then giggle as the tumors grow, vivisection, ho!
Hee-ha, hi-yah, hi-ho
I got a thou to write a text, vivisection, ho!
I used to play with paper dolls, but now I’ve got a job
Chopping up the inner works of a puppy dog
The neighbors pets all disappear, they say it’s got to cease
But I always give them back, each and every piece
Hee-ha, hi-yah, hi-ho
I just won the Nobel Prize, vivisection, ho!
