	Story Behind the Song Initially, I just created the backing tracks for "Crazyquilt" as a soundtrack for my master's thesis, which is also called "Crazyquilt." (Do you detect a theme, here?) I was messing around, playing my flute along with it, and she stuck her head into my studio/office/command center/sanctum and said, "What are you playing? That's incredible! It sounds like Native American Chinese jazz. Or something." I knew I was onto something -- normally, no one enters my lair unannounced, not even her. Even after all the work I've done with this piece, I can't help but smile every time I hear it. I hope it does the same for you.
