    Story Behind the Song
Written in an afternoon, it borrows a bass line from one of our older, now defunct, songs. The full version stretches out past the six minute mark and has over 22 tracks of stuff layered on top of the drums. You can hear some odd DX7 noises during certain parts of the song. John sings the bulk of the song and Drew sings the bridge.

Recorded at the Florida Street House studio.

    Produced by Drew Pathwick

Guitars, DX7, Vocals - John Athayde
Bass, Drum Loops, Rhodes, Vocals - Drew Pathwick
    Sax, Vocals - Phillip Golub

    Lyrics
She's a little bit of everything
Holds you tight when you know
    That the night's grown cold
She's a little bit of everyone
    I've been around
    And through this town
    The midnight train
    Is coming home

I would give you all of everything
    But for reasons untold
    Seems you're better off alone
    Please just give me
    Someone else to be
    The lies I see
    Every home is falling down
Do you feel you don't belong?

    It's time to move on
    Cause what's done is done
I'm only awake for all your lies

    You're wasting your words
    And kicked to the curb
Was everything you once held inside

You once claimed he was your everything
But now that he's floored you
You're kickin' down the doors around you
Did you hope of someone else you'd be:
    A beauty queen
    Or so it seems
    I thought my train
    Was leaving town

I could swear you said this was your dream
But the bask and the glow
Of the lights it's so cold you found out
    You're just standing there
    I watch you scream
    You've lost the dream
Don't you see what you've become?
You're the cliche on my television

    Tear all of this down
    We run from the crowd
You're always the last to choose your fate

    She's stacking the lines
    He's strung out the dime
And reveling all around her face

Walking the streets alone with you dear
Wander the streets I walk alone

    Na na na na na…
    Na na na na na…
Na na na na na na na na…

    Na na na na na…
    Na na na na na…
Na na na na na na na na…

I think that you've slowly lost your mind
    Living in permanent daylight
Flash back to when things weren't so wild
    We'll still be waiting, singing

    Na na na na na…
    Na na na na na…
Na na na na na na na na…
